So, I think if I were the type to make New Year's Resolutions, I would probably not go to Denny's as much. I kinda feel sick and gross right after I leave. And the coffee there is god-awful!
So, last night, after a night on the town, I, and the party I was with decided we needed to go to Denny's for food. And, as usual, because its the first word that generally comes out of my mouth, I ordered coffee as my drink. What I was not aware of, though, is that at Denny's at night, no one cares how long the coffee has been sitting there, or that it tastes like mud. And, no mater how much I doctored it, it still was garbage. But I liked the coffee.
I'm not sure how, but I managed to drink two cups of it before I became to disgusted in myself to continue.
When I finally got home, showered and redressed, though, in the clear light of day, I finally managed to have some good stuff. I got to have a few of my usual iced coffees. I realized, however that I am in a rut. I have been working here for 3 years, and have been drinking the same drink for 2 of those years. So, I am open to suggestions as to what my next drink should be.
Since it was night time, I drank like four of my coffees at work, plus the backup one I keep in the fridge. Maybe I drink too much coffee? Nah!
So, as I write my entry and get ready to start my day, I'm currently enjoying some Via Iced. Which is probably the best thing I could bring home from work, ever. I get my Iced Coffee, already sweetened, and really all I gotta do is add the water. I keep like 3 boxes of it all over the house for days like today when I'm not working and really don't feel like going out for my coffee.
Have a Great Day! Drink Up!
Maybe you have heard the song "Seasons of Love" from Rent. Maybe you're under a rock, and you haven't. Either way, I was listening to that song, one New Years eve, and it posed the question, how do you measure, measure a year. One way they suggested was in cups of coffee. I thought it would be a great idea to measure and year in cups of coffee and write a blog about it...

Insert Witty Title Here...
It's January 3rd of the New Year. 2011. So, that would make this day 3. I managed to gulp down three cups of coffee yesterday after the last post. Al three of them were Venti Iced Coffees with Vanilla and Eggnog. I really like the eggnog in my coffee, its a tasty treat. I also made a coffee to take home last night, but I think I left it in my car. Coffee wise today was rather uneventful. I had two of my usual eggnog things. I have a harder time drinking them during the actual day shifts I work. Currently there's a pot of Christmas blend going, and eventually I'll mosey on over to have myself a cup of that as well.
I seldom drink hot coffee. I'm not sure why really, but for like 2 years now I've been drinking just Iced Coffee. And if its winter I'll add a dash of eggnog to make it seem like I'm drinking something seasonal. Also, the other advantage to the iced coffee is that you can keep one that's already been made the way you like it in the fridge, and when, like I will later, you want some, you wander into the kitchen and drink it...
For those of you keeping track at home....
3 days into 2011, and I have consumed 8 cups. It will probably been an even ten by the end of the night but who knows.
On another note, I was asked today to do some shout outs on here. So, here's a big ole hello to Small Head, and to Gaely Girl.

Day 2 (I promise I'll come up with More interesting titles later)
So, yesterday's coffee attempts were a total bust. All I managed to have was a giant jug of iced coffee, with extra cream and extra sugar from the Dunkin' Donuts in Wal-Mart. That's right, I went super classy, and while trying to buy laundry detergents, hampers, and TV dinners, I decided to run on Dunkin' for a bit....
That reminds me, speaking of people who run on Dunkin', did I ever tell you about the time that Rachel Ray came into my Starbucks and ordered? I almost peed my pants with excitement. Well, until I tried to talk to her. Then I was over it.
But, if New Year's has taught me anything its that today is another day, and that I'm sure something else I do will remind me of another barely relevant story. So, I figured I would start with a nice cup of coffee that I have brewed myself at home. I have this really nice coffee maker, with a clock and lots of little buttons I still don't quite understand, and a removal brewing basket.
So, as I sit in my semi-quiet reflection, I am enjoying a cup of East African (Red) from Starbucks. I own probably several pounds of coffee, its just way easier to never ever brew my own. So when I actually have the time and the inclination, its really nice to sit back on my couch, with slipper, and attempt to write the year of coffee blog.
Have a great day! Drink up!

Januray 1st...
This blog has been in the planning stages for well over a year now. And I figured I would finally get going. I tried the good old fashioned pen and paper method, but that was just too old fashioned for my tastes.
I have no idea how to blog, what my posts should look like or if anyone will even care what I have to say, but here goes....
First Coffee of the New Year!!!!
Denny's coffee.
Yea, I know if I'm going to start with this whole big deal, my first cup of the year should have been some wonderful thing. But, its not. Thats right, I rang in 2011 trying to eat my hangover away at Denny's. Hopefully, I'll have time to go get a decent cup of coffee at some point today.
